Gotham Underworld
This started off as a photo study but I wanted to do something more creative than recreating the reference exactly as is, so I opted to draw and paint the figures as villains from the popular Batman series. I wasn't going for a particular likeness here as I wanted the image to appear timeless and not directly influenced by a particular show or movie, so I took some artistic license for the character designs. This painting is a tribute to my late father as well, who was a huge fan of the movies and sadly passed away from cancer a decade ago. I hope you enjoy the image as it was a ton of fun to bring to life!
